BIOGRAPHY

Nils Vinding graduated from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles with Vocational Honors 1989. Hereafter he lived for 20 years as a professional musician, Spreading widely across all genres. as a bandleader mostly in the jazz field and as a sideman in rock, soul, Cuban, Brazilian, African and classical music. 

 

He has released five albums in his own name and contributed to several other releases. Besides his career as musician, he has composed music for film, radio- and TV-productions .

Around 2007 he entered the pro-audio industry and for several years worked as an product specialist, international sales manager and sales director, primarily within the field of microphones and music equipment. 

​

Based on his experience with business development, he later focused on entrepreneurial contracting business.

 

From 2017-2020 he transformed a large former horse pension into a sanctuary for music, art and wellness - Stuebjerggaard in Tisvilde and as part of that established Studio in the Woods.

 

In 2020 the Studio in the Wood was moved to bigger facilities in Odsherred. This location quickly became the favorite songwriting facility for some of the most streamed artists in Denmark.

 

In 2023 Studio in the Woods was sold to the Danish rapper Sivas, who is now running the studio together with his family. 

 

From now on Nils Vinding is focused solely on his own music.
